02 September 2002

Dear Friends,

"CNN uncovers terrorist activities containing video archives!! "

It's the latest hotnews across US.
Americans are thinking that Al-Qaueda is illiterate and stupid. It surprises them that Osama could have such chemical weapons even such as small ones shown in the CNN tapes on terror.

It beats me! For heaven's sake, Al-Qaeda had complete Taliban support and Taliban were ruling A COUNTRY. Obviously they had great universities and huge labs with experts in every field. It doesnt take much time to use little energy to get experts from every field under their control and develop any kind of weapons they want. So, its least surprising that they could test some chemicals on weak dogs. In my opinions Al-Qaeda could have deliberately leaked the cassettes to make the world underestimate them. After all, we all know what could they do with planes without carrying any weapons. Remember WTC!!

Königstrasse - King of all streets:

What is königstrasse? Mix two Beautiful Palaces, a heavenly Garden, dozen shopping Malls, a big artificial Pond, a Carnival, a multicultural musical Festival, mixture of multi cuisine Restaurants into a street and punctuate them with some Fountains, Oh! I almost missed! Pepper it with Lovers!! Here you go!! And the result is............

"KÖNIGSTRASSE"

(König - King, Strasse = Street)

In the heart of the city, this street is all about life at its warmest. Two most picturesque castles are on the street standing tall in the center. In India, this open area could have been converted into Political meeting ground.('Anbaarntha Thaaimaargaleee...!'  "Baaiyon Behanon!!")

Shopping? If u ask Bosch-lers about the place of purchase of their camera, Camcorder, DVD etc., majority of them will point to shops in Königstrasse. (me being no exception!) But, 10 prices for one product in 10 different shops. Look out for offers during autumn.

As patriotic Indians, we do only window-shopping most of the time. To buy a winter wear, we will start from Summer & after six months, we would come to conclusion "Are yaar! this is three times costlier than India!" "Hum kabhie sudherenga Nahin!!"

You know about the Indian burglar who sneaked into a big shopping mall one midnight? Cops found the next day that it was an Indian. Wonder how?

"HE HAD STOLEN ONLY THE  70%, 50%, 30% discount items!!" Maa Thuje Salaaam!!! Vande Matharammmmmmm........... !

Food lovers have variety of options ranging from Crepes(a famous joint for its Indian Dosa), Pizza Hut to McDonalds. All shops open till late and Dinner at the open tables in evening sun is a great experience. One important thing, "You shouldn’t go there just to eat!"

You have film theaters which sometime screen even Indian Movies and Play theaters too.  Not to mention the music bands, who come every weekends and play some nice music which gives u no feeling of street music. Artists varying from Guitarists to Magic Masters display their talent to public.

I found one Chinese guy with a board: "Get ur name in Chinese for 5 Euro". All he does is write ur name in Chinese (u never know whether it is Chinese or Japanese). Seeing that, sprouted a idea in my mind:

"Ur name in 5 Indian languages for 5 Euro: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi & Malayalam"
Special offer Today: Polish name free! Offer till stock lasts!!

(I hope not many know that Polish name is the same as German!)

During summer, you can see people really wandering around the street for hours. With sun setting at 10 P.M., you have enough time after office hours to enjoy ur evenings.  Almost all evenings we used to walk in those streets planning to buy some product which we will not buy in near future(May be never!).

Okay!! Its time to say bye. Any Guess where I am going this evening!!! ;-)
